Our Distinctives:

Worship

Worship is the adoration and praise of God by His children. Worship will be God centered and for the believer. John 4:23, 24

Evangelism

The Lord Jesus Christ has clearly set the agenda for the church in this area. We will seek the lost and lovingly and confidently share Jesus Christ and the saving message of His death and resurrection. Acts 1:8

Discipleship

Jesus commanded that we make disciples The discipleship of men, women and children will be a high priority Matthew 28:19, 20.

Service

The Holy Spirit has given each believer spiritual gifts for the building up of the body of Christ as each member exercises his or her gifts. This church gives every believer the opportunity to discover and use the God-given gifts he or she may have according to Biblical guidelines. Ephesians 4:11-12; I Corinthians 12:7

Prayer

Prayer, as seen by the example of the early church, is the personal communicative link between the church and the Lord. It is an act of dependence upon the Lord as the church’s head for guidance, wisdom and spiritual life. Along with the ministry of the word of God, prayer is necessary for the continued growth of the body of Christ. This church will make prayer a priority in word and deed. Acts 1:14; 2:42

Missions

The Lord has clearly commanded the church to reach its "Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and utter most parts of the earth" Acts 1:8. This church will from the very beginning set apart finances for this purpose. This church will seek to raise up men and women who will choose to go as missionaries to local and overseas ministries. Acts 13:2-4

Reproduction

This church shall at the very beginning look to plant a church in the future. This church shall reproduce by establishing other churches in local communities. Matthew 28:19,20

Instruction

This church will be established upon the clear teaching of God’s powerful word. It will teach and preach God’s word without compromise nor embarrassment. The word of God will be the highest of all authorities over the affairs, structures and ministries of the church. 2 Timothy 3:16; John 17:17.

Care

The Bible tells us to "bear one another’s burdens" in Galatians 6:2. We as a body of believers, filled with the love of God, will exercise that love towards one another in true care and encouragement in responsible ways.

Finances

The finances of the church will be an open issue. Weekly reports of the finances will be available in the Sunday bulletin. God’s people are to fund God’s ministry in faith in His working. The financial needs of the church will be met by God’s people waiting upon the Lord to supply. There is no example of the church in the New Testament going into debt to fund God’s ministry. This church will not go into debt for the completing of God’s ministry. 1 Corinthians 9:14, 2 Corinthians 8:12-14; 2 Corinthians 5:7, 2 Corinthians 9:6-12, Exodus 25:1-2

Shepherding

We are committed to the Biblical view of the shepherd’s role of overseeing the flock. This consists of leading the flock in fulfilling God’s direction for the church, feeding the flock from the Word, guarding the flock from sin and wrong teaching, and caring for the flock in tenderness. Jeremiah 3:15; Acts 20:28; Eph. 4:11-12; Heb. 13:17
